Be assured that I do not intend to give my character or any other character preferential treatment. Now, I am aware that there is a large potential for god-modding on my part, as my discretion will have a great measure of control over the experience.
This should add an interesting element to the experience. What's more, I plan to switch the in-game "player" character many times to other members of the class, re-centering the plot upon the other RP-er's characters and choosing actions based on the wants and needs set forth by the players' responses here in the forum. My character will base his actions upon the reactions he perceives, like any human being would to another. After each session, I will post a narrative to the forums here, and then I will leave a 24-hour window (at least) for the players to respond with the emotions, reactions, and future hopes of their character (in the voice of their character).īased upon these comments, I will choose my actions in the game. My character take on the role of the "teacher", the beginning of the plot being focused on him and his actions and thoughts, with the others' actions in context to his. If this small-scale is a success, hopefully in the future I might progress to something larger-scale (or perhaps simply expand upon this class with new members). Thereby, I am hoping for only three others to join me in this class. This is the basic idea now let me ellaborate:Īs this is not only my first time attempting this style RP, but my first time on the forums at all, I wish to test the waters a bit. corresponding to its creator's roleplaying.
#ARTIFICIAL ACADEMY 2 HOW TO PLAY SERIES#
In this way, each class member will take on a series of subtextual emotions, needs, desires, etc. I will play with my character as the "PC" to begin with, narrating the story after-the-fact on the forums here (with screenshotted highlights, if I may).
Here is my proposed solution: a semi-passive-style RP in which we, as an RP group, form a class, each member of the RP with a corresponding class member. What I have noticed about the game is that the various npcs, though extremely diverse, lack explicit desires, needs, opinions, perspectives, etc. If not, it is a game in which the player generates a school class of custom-made individuals and then, through the lens of a selected and interchangeable "player" character, watches the interactions of one's classmates. I am sure some of you, if not all, are familiar with the game Artificial Academy 2. Only just now have I decided to make a real account, the catalyst being this idea that's been stirring around in my head for some time. I am Zediah - been lurking here for who knows how long.
